Schaefer Halleen was the obvious choice when I was passed over for the CEO role, in favor of a male colleague, despite the fact that I was the designated successor to the retiring (male) CEO in succession planning documents. Larry Schaefer’s aggressive and exhaustive advocacy, and incredible experience working with the in-house and outside counsel representing the company, allowed me to not only get out of this dysfunctional and damaging work environment promptly, but to do so with significant financial security (well in excess of what policy dictated) and my reputation untarnished.
