Video Transcript: Hiring Process Work at Schaefer Halleen
We often get resumes from people who want to work at the firm. People approach us and want to work here for a lot of reasons. One of them is the work we do. The work we do is very appealing. We fight for justice. That is a mission that appeals to a broad range of people.
In addition, I think we have a reputation of being a really good place to work, a really fun, open, and respected place to work. So, we take that seriously, but we don’t have a lot of turnover. When we do have an opening, we can be very selective. We review resumes, we do interviews, but we’re very careful about bringing in the person, making sure it’s the right match for all of us.

About Toni Halleen
Toni has practiced employment law since graduating from law school in 1988. The field appeals to her because in our society, our jobs can be core to our identity and well-being. Even in her early years in the 70s and 80s, Toni remembers being drawn to ideals of justice, fairness, and social equality in attending anti-discrimination marches, participating in school activism, and admiring the political satire of the Smothers Brothers (and others).
