Video Transcript: Sexually Harassed At Work
Well, employers are required to have policies about prohibiting sexual harassment in the workplace, and also laying out the steps that employees should take if they feel they’re experience sexual harassment. Some employers do that, some don’t. But you should not have to put up with sexual harassment, so if you feel that you’re being sexually harassed, document it, the date, what happened. And report it.
And if you have questions about how to report it, or how to document it, you can certainly talk to an employment lawyer to get coaching and advice on how to deal with that. But you don’t have to put up with it, it’s illegal. And the company has to make it stop.
