Client Service Philosophy
“I bring intelligent compassion to my work. With a strong attention to detail, I view each case as a unique set of problems to be solved and I judge my success by the value I have brought to my clients’ lives.”
Darren M. Sharp Partner
Darren M. Sharp has worked tirelessly to advance his clients’ rights and interests. Having been with the firm for more than a decade, he serves as a senior attorney where he represents employees in all aspects of the employment relationship.
Darren concentrates his litigation practice on discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblower, and retaliation claims and his portfolio of clients ranges from manual laborers to chief executives. He regularly advises clients through medical leave issues and their intersection with the protections afforded by state and federal disability discrimination laws.
Another principal focus of his practice is analyzing and negotiating employment contracts for physicians, non-compete agreements, and severance packages. Darren is also a fluent Spanish speaker and is proud to work with immigrant and disadvantaged communities.
Over the years, he has spearheaded some of the firm’s most complex litigation, including serving as court-approved lead counsel over employment class action claims, advocating for medical professionals in complicated peer review proceedings, defending employees against convoluted allegations by their employers, and arguing multiple cases in appellate proceedings.
While Darren has successfully prosecuted employment claims against some of the largest and most powerful companies in world, he works with his clients to find specific solutions that make sense for them and add value to their lives. A problem solver by nature, Darren often works with his clients from behind the scenes to counsel them on the legal impact of their employment decisions or the legality of their employer’s conduct.
Darren is an active supporter of employee rights and he has served as a Board Member and Vice President of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.
