It’s an area of focus for us and it has been an area that we spent years advocating and advising clients in, so we understand every aspect of legal issues that can affect physicians, whether it’s early on in negotiating the appropriate contracts for them and knowing what’s state of art, whether it’s when difficult issues arise in the workplace and they’re subject to peer review, how to best advocate for them throughout that process. We have, throughout the lawyers in Schaefer Halleen, an expertise in providing advice and advocacy for positions. We understand the issues that can arise.
We know how to advise them through the process and most importantly advocate for them when their careers may be threatened by issues that can arise in peer review. That’s something that we’ve devoted literally decades to developing and that’s why we are known in our industry as the firm that has an expertise in advising physicians and medical professionals.

About Toni Halleen
Toni has practiced employment law since graduating from law school in 1988. The field appeals to her because in our society, our jobs can be core to our identity and well-being. Even in her early years in the 70s and 80s, Toni remembers being drawn to ideals of justice, fairness, and social equality in attending anti-discrimination marches, participating in school activism, and admiring the political satire of the Smothers Brothers (and others).
